The water at Bradenton Beach
Bradenton Beach anchors the south end of Anna Maria Island, with the grass flats of Sarasota Bay and Palma Sola on the inside and Longboat Pass cutting through to the Gulf. Trout and redfish are the bread-and-butter over the grass, snook hold to the pass and pier pilings, and flounder ambush bait along the sandy edges. It's classic west-central Florida flats water.
