The water at Homosassa
Homosassa is hallowed ground for fly anglers — its spring and early-summer tarpon migration along the shallow Gulf flats produced some of the biggest fly-caught fish in history. Outside of tarpon season it's a quiet backwater fishery of redfish and trout over grass and oyster, fed by the constant 72° flow of the Homosassa River.
