About Kemah & Seabrook
This is the top of Galveston Bay, where Clear Lake meets it — one of the largest concentrations of recreational boating and sailing in the country, with marina after marina packed in behind the channel. Kemah's boardwalk sits right at the water on one side of the cut and Seabrook on the other, so the frame usually has sailboats, charter boats and weekend traffic moving through it. Galveston Bay is big, shallow and quick to build a steep chop, which is exactly why the local sailing fleet lives and dies by what the surface actually looks like.
What this camera is good for
- Whether the bay is sailable or blown out
- Boat and sailing traffic through the channel
- Crowds along the boardwalk
- Storms building over the bay on a summer afternoon

Common questions
- Is the Kemah & Seabrook camera live?
- Yes, it is a live stream running 24 hours a day. If it looks dark, it is night at the camera.
- Does it cost anything to watch?
- No. Salty Forecast is completely free — no ads, no account, no paid tier, and nothing on this page is behind a sign-up.
- What are the tides at Kemah · Clear Lake today?
- Today's high and low tide times for Kemah · Clear Lake are on the tide chart page, drawn from the NOAA station at Clear Lake. Tide state changes what the beach looks like on camera — at low water the beach is at its widest.
- Why does the camera look hazy or dark?
- Live cameras sit outdoors: rain on the lens, salt spray, fog and low light all affect the picture. Night views are lit only by whatever is nearby. If the feed is down entirely, that is the operator's camera rather than this page — the conditions above still update.
