About Key Largo
This is the unusual one: the camera is under the water, on the reef inside John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park — the first undersea park in the United States. Key Largo sits alongside the only living coral barrier reef in the continental US, and what passes the lens is whatever is on the reef at the time: grunts, snapper, parrotfish, the occasional barracuda or turtle. Visibility is the whole story here, and it tracks wind and swell closely — a few calm days and the water goes gin clear.
