About Tiki Island
Tiki Island is a village built on canals at the edge of West Bay, just off the mainland end of the causeway, and almost every house on it has a boat behind it. The view is bay water rather than Gulf — shallow, grassy in places, and the sort of water that fishes well for trout and redfish when the wind allows and turns unpleasant when it does not. Because West Bay is broad and only a few feet deep, wind translates into chop here faster than depth would suggest, so a look at the surface is a better forecast than a number.
