Fishing Hobe Sound
Hobe Sound is the quiet stretch of Jupiter Island between Stuart and Jupiter, most of it inside a national wildlife refuge — undeveloped Atlantic beach on one side and the narrow, mangrove-lined Intracoastal on the other. The beach is a steep-faced pompano and snook surf with a close-in trough, and the sound behind it holds snook, reds, and big black drum around the docks and bridge. It's one of the most heavily used sea-turtle nesting beaches in the hemisphere.
