Clearwater Beach is the busiest beach on Florida's Gulf coast and Pier 60 is its center of gravity — a fishing pier by day and a nightly sunset festival with buskers and craft stalls in the hours before dark. The beach is wide, white and faces west, with Clearwater Pass funnelling bait and snook between the sand and Clearwater Harbor just to the south.
