About Cocoa Beach Pier
The Cocoa Beach Pier has been the center of Florida's east-coast surf scene since the 1960s, reaching 800 feet into the Atlantic with bars and a bait shop strung along it. Cocoa Beach is where Kelly Slater grew up surfing, and the break either side of the pier is still the local benchmark. Behind the barrier island, the Banana River's no-motor zone holds some of the biggest redfish and trout in the state for anyone willing to pole or paddle in, and launches from the Cape go up right over the top of all of it.
What this camera is good for
- Surf size and how clean it is at the pier
- Whether the pier is fishable
- Beach and pier crowd levels
- Rocket launches and sunrise over the water
The pier's YouTube stream changes video id on restart, so this opens the channel's live page instead of one broadcast.

Common questions
- Is the Cocoa Beach Pier camera live?
- Yes — it streams on the operator's own site, and the link on this page always opens whichever stream is currently running.
- Does it cost anything to watch?
- No. Salty Forecast is completely free — no ads, no account, no paid tier, and nothing on this page is behind a sign-up.
- What are the tides at Cocoa Beach today?
- Today's high and low tide times for Cocoa Beach are on the tide chart page, drawn from the NOAA station at Port Canaveral (Trident Pier). Tide state changes what the beach looks like on camera — at low water the beach is at its widest.
- Why does the camera look hazy or dark?
- Live cameras sit outdoors: rain on the lens, salt spray, fog and low light all affect the picture. Night views are lit only by whatever is nearby. If the feed is down entirely, that is the operator's camera rather than this page — the conditions above still update.
