Fishing Jacksonville Beach
Jacksonville Beach is straight, open Atlantic sand with a pier in the middle of it, which makes it a surf and pier fishery above all: pompano and whiting in the trough through spring and fall, Spanish mackerel and bluefish blitzing bait off the end, and the odd redfish or big drum in the wash. The nearshore reefs a couple of miles out hold kingfish and cobia in the warm months.
