About Englewood Beach
Englewood Beach sits on Manasota Key, the barrier island between Lemon Bay and the Gulf, and it is the beach most of Englewood actually uses. The sand is coarser and shellier than Siesta's, which is why this is one of the better stretches on the coast for finding fossilized shark teeth — the same beds that feed Venice run down this way. Stump Pass is at the south end of the key, and Manasota Key Road runs the length of it with public accesses along the way.
What this camera is good for
- Surf and water color before heading down
- Whether the beach parking is filling up
- Red tide conditions you can see — dead fish, discolored water
- Sunset
If the water looks off-color or you see fish washed up, check the red tide status below — the FWC sample data for this beach is on the same page.

Common questions
- Is the Englewood Beach camera live?
- Yes, it is a live stream running 24 hours a day. If it looks dark, it is night at the camera.
- Does it cost anything to watch?
- No. Salty Forecast is completely free — no ads, no account, no paid tier, and nothing on this page is behind a sign-up.
- What are the tides at Manasota Key today?
- Today's high and low tide times for Manasota Key are on the tide chart page, drawn from the NOAA station at Manasota, Lemon Bay. Tide state changes what the beach looks like on camera — at low water the beach is at its widest.
- Why does the camera look hazy or dark?
- Live cameras sit outdoors: rain on the lens, salt spray, fog and low light all affect the picture. Night views are lit only by whatever is nearby. If the feed is down entirely, that is the operator's camera rather than this page — the conditions above still update.
