About Back Bay of Biloxi
The Back Bay of Biloxi is the sheltered water behind the Biloxi peninsula, where the Tchoutacabouffa and Biloxi rivers drain toward the Mississippi Sound. This camera sits on the D'Iberville shore at the Scarlet Pearl and looks south over marsh islands and open water to the casino towers and bridges on the far side. It is calmer than the Sound out front, which makes it the paddling and small-boat water on a windy day, but it is not out of reach of the Gulf. When a storm pushes surge into the Sound, the water rises up into the Back Bay too.
What this camera is good for
- Wind and chop on protected water before a paddle or a launch
- Water level against the marsh islands
- Squalls crossing from the Sound
- Sunrise over the bay

Common questions
- Is the Back Bay of Biloxi camera live?
- Yes, it is a live stream running 24 hours a day. If it looks dark, it is night at the camera.
- Does it cost anything to watch?
- No. Salty Forecast is completely free — no ads, no account, no paid tier, and nothing on this page is behind a sign-up.
- What are the tides at Biloxi today?
- Today's high and low tide times for Biloxi are on the tide chart page, drawn from the NOAA station at Biloxi. Tide state changes what the beach looks like on camera — at low water the beach is at its widest.
- Why does the camera look hazy or dark?
- Live cameras sit outdoors: rain on the lens, salt spray, fog and low light all affect the picture. Night views are lit only by whatever is nearby. If the feed is down entirely, that is the operator's camera rather than this page — the conditions above still update.
