About Cape San Blas
Cape San Blas is a hook of sand that curls back on itself to enclose St. Joseph Bay, which gives you two entirely different waters a few hundred yards apart. Inside the bay it is shallow, clear and floored with seagrass — some of the best scalloping in Florida and a strong redfish and trout flat. Outside, the cape's Gulf beach drops off quickly and takes weather head-on; this is one of the most exposed stretches of coastline in the state and the dunes show it.
