About Lake Worth Inlet
Lake Worth Inlet is the Port of Palm Beach's cut, moving an enormous volume of water between the lagoon and the Atlantic between two long jetties, and it holds snook, tarpon and jacks year-round on the strength of that current alone. Palm Beach sits on one side and Singer Island on the other. The Atlantic shelf drops off unusually close to shore here, which is why kingfish and sailfish turn up within sight of the beach and why the Lake Worth Pier just south is such a productive piece of structure.
What this camera is good for
- Sea state at the inlet before running out
- Ship and boat traffic through the port cut
- How hard the tide is moving
- Sunrise over the Atlantic
The NOAA station on the Lake Worth Pier just south is the best local water-temperature reading on this coast — that is the number shown below.

Common questions
- Is the Lake Worth Inlet camera live?
- Yes — it streams on the operator's own site, and the link on this page always opens whichever stream is currently running.
- Does it cost anything to watch?
- No. Salty Forecast is completely free — no ads, no account, no paid tier, and nothing on this page is behind a sign-up.
- What are the tides at Palm Beach today?
- Today's high and low tide times for Palm Beach are on the tide chart page, drawn from the NOAA station at Port of Palm Beach. Tide state changes what the beach looks like on camera — at low water the beach is at its widest.
- Why does the camera look hazy or dark?
- Live cameras sit outdoors: rain on the lens, salt spray, fog and low light all affect the picture. Night views are lit only by whatever is nearby. If the feed is down entirely, that is the operator's camera rather than this page — the conditions above still update.
