About Boynton Inlet
Boynton Inlet, formally the South Lake Worth Inlet, is short and narrow, and it squeezes a huge volume of Lake Worth Lagoon through a very small gap. That makes it one of the most reliable snook and tarpon spots on the Gold Coast and one of the trickier ones to run — the outgoing tide rips, and a standing chop builds fast against an east wind. Just outside, the reef line sits within a few hundred yards of the beach, holding mutton snapper, permit and kingfish on an unusually short run.
