About Navarre Beach
Navarre Beach has the least-developed stretch of Santa Rosa Island going for it, with Gulf Islands National Seashore on both sides and a single low-rise strip in the middle. Its pier runs 1,545 feet into the Gulf, longer than any other in the state, which puts anglers over water most piers never reach — kings, cobia and bonito in season, pompano and whiting closer in. Behind the island, Santa Rosa Sound is skinny, clear and almost always fishable when the Gulf is not.
