About Panama City Beach
Panama City Beach runs 27 miles of Gulf front, and Schooners — self-billed as the Last Local Beach Club — sits on the sand near the east end, close to where St. Andrews Pass cuts through to the bay. That pass is one of the deepest and most productive inlets on the Panhandle, and the artificial reef program offshore has built out one of the better nearshore wreck fisheries in the state. The beach itself is broad and shallow-sloped, so the sandbar sits a long way out and the water between goes turquoise on a calm day.
