About Bakers Haulover Inlet
Bakers Haulover Inlet is narrow, shallow at the mouth and genuinely infamous: when an outgoing tide meets an east swell it stands up into short, steep walls that regularly stop boats cold, and it has a devoted online following of people who watch them try. For anglers it is an excellent inlet in spite of that — tarpon through spring and summer, snook on the rocks, permit and kingfish just outside — and Haulover Park gives land-based access to both jetties.
