About Mexico Beach
Mexico Beach is a small, deliberately low-rise town on open Gulf — no high-rises, no pass, no crowds, and a rebuild since Hurricane Michael that has kept its scale intact. With no inlet nearby, this is surf and nearshore reef country: pompano and whiting in the trough, kings and cobia along the bars in spring, and one of the best-developed artificial reef fields on the coast a few miles out. Wind matters more than tide here, and a light offshore morning is what everyone waits for.
